The Good, the Bad, and the Sharkly
Image hosted by Photobucket.com

The Good: Last night's dinner with Sterling at Dumont, and drinks afterwards at Zablozki's.
The Bad: I lost my Metrocard, which was a monthly, and which I had just purchased on June 22nd.
The Sharkly: Another shark attack - but a very minor one. "Shark Bites Tourist's Ankle in Florida."

The Good: I called MTA and they are refunding me $50.60, because I had bought the Metrocard with my debit card.
The Bad: The refund doesn't go through for 10 to 20 business days. Not that it really matters much, though. I was thrilled that I actually got the good customer service I got, considering, hello, it's MTA.
The Sharkly: This from the
Horse Hater site: "Shark Mauls Horse."

The Good: A couple of weeks ago, I submitted an teeny tiny 100-word review for an upcoming Free Blood show at Cake Shop to the New York Press, and it was accepted! I guess that's no big achievement, since everyone's always saying how bad the writing in the Press is, and how much the paper sucks, but still - it was the first thing I've ever written and submitted to a paper. My name in print!
The Bad: After telling me it was accepted, it didn't actually run. They are supposedly still going to pay me, though. Well, we'll just see. (also, my friend Amy pointed out that my name is, technically, in print every week, but that doesn't really count, and it's not so exciting, because it's not for any actual accomplishment).
The Sharkly: BLOOD IN THE SURF article in this week's People magazine!

The Good: I got a ticket (birthday present) to see Dinosaur, Jr. at SummerStage on July 14th!
The Bad: Apparently, a shark ate it.
The Sharkly: This is what happened to the shark that ate my Dinosaur, Jr. ticket:
the good news is that I found
the shark, ripped out it's stomach through it's mouth
and got the ticket back. Then I dumped it on the beach.

The Good: I got my hair cut last Saturday at The Beehive Salon, and I really like it!

Supermodel me picture taken by Amy's cameraphone!

The Bad: The haircut is really nice, but the weather has been so damp and rainy, and I have to learn how to blow dry my hair.
BONUS: GOOD, BAD, AND SHARKLY:
Spring Break Shark Attack!

(am I the only person who watched this piece of CGI crap? Probably.)

NOTE: Thanks to Josh for the shark links, the horse hater link, and the Dinosaur, Jr. ticket! I love you, man! (*sound of beer cracking open*)

Your hair looks great!
Also, I am glad to hear that the MTA was so lovely, for I, too, lost my monthly card yesterday. I'm going to call them...RIGHT NOW!

Thanks! Did you cut yours yet? I am very excited for you with short(er) hair.

Did you call MTA? They were so much more helpful than I thought they would be.

Next Tuesday is cut day. I will definitely have pictures, and probably will need a lot of emotional support.

I left a message for MTA, but they have not called back, so I will call again today. I hope it works out. Im so annoyed I lost it, and Ir eally have no money to buy a new one.

P.S. The Shark Attack's are freaky! If you want to feel some six degrees of separation, I grew up along The Gulf of Mexico. The attacks so far, are all north of Sarasota...but it's still, very close.

As a matter of fact, you're NOT the only person who watched that piece of CGI crap.

Am I the only person who watched Locusts the following week?

I did NOT see Locusts, but I totally meant to! I am a little bit obsessed with ciccadas. They scare me, the same way that cockroaches do. And yet, I sometimes find myself unable to stop looking at pictures of them. Sort of how I am with cockroaches. And Britney Spears.

How was it? And also, mind if I add you?

Locusts was masterfully done, the best part (besides a washed-up Lucy Lawless) being that locusts don't actually like, eat people or anything.

But if you're a tree or other form of vegetation, watch out!

I suggest that you do add me before you are descended on by a swarm of scientifically-enhanced, genetically mutated, carnivorous ciccadas.

Firsterly, those pics you found-- AWESOME. Especially that wacky shark-shaped wave. It's like a fucking Capri-Sun commercial.

Seconderly, congrats on the being accepted-and-then-not-published-but-supposedly-still-paid-review thing! We neeed to get your ass in print, kitten!

Thirderly, that new haircut makes you the most beautiful woman in all of Puppetland. Love the photo, too!

Fourtherly, I just wanted to get to fourtherly. Oh wait-- fourtherly, I didn't see Spring Break Shark Attack, but desperately wanted to! We'll have to track a copy down for movie nite. It looked totally Craptacular. I remember it came out at the same time that we were doing the Super Frat Spring Break Special which had its very own shark attack.

Re-elected 3 years in a row! Do you like your sash? I made sure they spelled "Miss Kitten" in gold leaf.

The Good: Jessie Dean is the hottest thing I've ever seen slip into a tattoo, and I would be honored to teach her my blow dry techniques.

The Bad: I don't see her enough to tell her this in person.

The Sharkly: I'm going to the beach tomorrow morning. I severely hope to not run into any of these sharks. As I am not on spring break, I am probably safe.

Yes, please teach me the wonderful ways of blow-drying! I can't seem to get it right. And it is crucial (and I do mean *crucial*) for this new hairstyle to work!

How was the beach? Were you eaten by a shark?

PS - I so love, love, LOVE that picture of us. If I ever get a paid account, I'm stealing that as an icon.

Aaaaaaaahhhhhh!

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh!

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

(just in case you didn't knwo I have a "shark thing," where everytime I see a picture of one I LITERALLY get goosebumps and feel like I'm going to vomit. Do to the shark thing I didn't actually read this post, just scrolled quickly screaming, but I DID scroll past a lovely shot of you with new hair! I like it a ton! Now...what was this post about? Did someone get attacked by a shark? Did you get one for a pet? Did you get a shark-change operation and are now living in the ocean feasting on seals?)

Yes, Coll, I finally got that shark-change operation I've been saving for! I think congratulations are in order.

Also, yay for two, TWO, icons with ME in them! I'm stealing that one, too. I need some more icons, dammit.

Josh,

I'm sorry to report that Dolly was eaten by a shark. No big deal, though. Actually, I sort of fed her to him, so...

xo,

Did you dress up the shark's mouth to look like a doorway with a flashing neon sign that said "Kitty Hotel" over its snout?
